WORLD CUP MATCH DAY TWO KICKS OFF WITH MUCH AT STAKE .

The second matchday of the group stages kicks off with Wales against Iran in a group B encounter at the Ahmid Bin Ali Stadium in the city of Al-Rayyan.Wales come into this game on the back of a 1-1 draw with the United States while Iran will look to bounce back from a humiliating 6-2 humbling by groou favourites England.The kickoff takes place at 13:00EAT ( 10:00GMT).If Wales win , they would put themselves in a possible scenario of qualifying but that wouldn't be guaranteed as they finish off their group phase against England's Three lions. 

On the other hand the three lions clash with the USA who showed some promising football display on their opening night against fellow British Wales.This clash being the last action of the day takes place in Al Bayt Stadium in the city of Al Khor at 22:00EAT (19:00GMT).If England win this , they will be through to the knockout phase with a game to spare and will likely guarantee themselves top spot in the group.

Action continues in group A as host Qatar clash against Africa's best team, the Lions of Teranga. The Lions will be hoping to roar having lost 2-0 to Oranje of the Netherlands after conceding two late goals from Gakpo and klassen , both goals coming from some controversial goalkeeping from Chelsea's Eduard Mendy.The two clash at Al Thumama stadium in the City of Doha at 16:00 EAT (13:00GMT).Qatar will also be hoping to bounce back from an awful opening display where they were fully dominated and kept at bay by Enner Valencia's Ecuador.

The group A titans who are on three points each clash at Khaliffa international stadium in Ar-Rayyan at 19:00 EAT (16:00GMT). A win for either Netherlands or Ecuador sees them through to the round of 16 but a draw could leave the qualification battle open till the last day if Senegal beats Qatar or otherwise.

UNITED RUN RIOT , ENDING GUNNERS PERFECT START TO THE SEASON

Aspiring perfectionists Arsenal had it rough in Manchester as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday evening .
